There really is nothing quite like Great Adventure — an annual campaign of unforgettable efforts for people of all ages to grow spiritually and come together to share the good news of Jesus with those in our community and around the world!

Kids Clubs

July 6-9, 2026
6:30-8:00pm

Kids Club (formerly Backyard Bible Club) is a program where kids gather in someone's yard or nearby public space — offers fun, games, and the opportunity to learn about Jesus. The kids hear about God and the Bible in an engaging, interactive environment, where many kids come to know Jesus for the first time! No registration necessary; simply show up.

Boot Camp

June 21-26, 2026

Concordia University

Boot Camp is for completed 7th thru 12th grade students. Learn valuable leadership and teamwork skills, while they hone their ability to effectively share the truths, the students gather for large group worship and teaching, making the whole experience one of tremendous spiritual growth.

SummerFest

July 12, 2026  |  11am - 1pm

Hill Country Bible Church

SummerFest is a fun, free, community-wide event that marks the end of the week of Backyard Bible Clubs. Special Need Family Camp, Boot Camp, Adventure, SummerFest, and Xtreme Adventure students, food, music, and fun for the whole family.

Xtreme Adventure

Hill Country Bible Church

Xtreme Adventure offers students a fun-filled, high-energy morning of worship and small group time, as they grow in relationship with one another, their leaders, and most importantly Jesus. Completed 4th thru 6th grade can attend.

We highly encourage students to invite at least one friend to join them at Xtreme Adventure, as it's a great opportunity to learn about Jesus while having a great time!

Every year, we have a giant celebration to thank God for all the amazing things He did during the Great Adventure! Come ready to engage in worship, hear stories of life-change, and praise God for how powerfully He moved. We're also excited to celebrate baptisms during both services.

GO Short-term Mission Trips

Various Dates Throughout the Summer

These trips focus on building personal relationships, demonstrating Christ's love, and proclaiming the Good News of Jesus through welcoming refugees and international families, teaching English, hosting Bible clubs, serving our mission partners, and initiating Gospel conversations.

Information and Student Registration

Join us as we kickoff Great Adventure with a powerful morning of Worship and prayer for all aspects of the Great Adventure including Global Outreach Mission Trips, Boot Camp, Kids Clubs, Special Needs Family Camp, Xtreme Adventure, and SummerFest. God moves mightily through Great Adventure every year, and this is our time to come before Him with heartfelt gratitude and bold requests.

Worship Center

During Boot Camp, students spend their days training to lead BackYard Bible Clubs and then lead these clubs in the evenings throughout South and Central Austin. The students learn valuable leadership and teamwork skills, while they hone their ability to effectively share the gospel. Every night after the clubs, the students gather for large group worship and teaching, making the whole experience one of tremendous spiritual growth.

Kids Clubs (formerly Backyard Bible Clubs) is a program where kids gather in someone's yard or a nearby public space — offers fun, games, and the opportunity to learn about Jesus. The kids hear about God and the Bible in an engaging, interactive environment, where many kids come to know Jesus for the first time! BYBCs happen all across the greater Austin area. No registration necessary; simply show up!

Every day July 6 - 9
6:30-8pm

Special Needs Family Camp, designed for individuals with all abilities, includes learning about Jesus through creative storytelling, engaging worship, and interactive play.

There is also a siblings camp for the siblings of our special needs friends, and a parent/caretaker camp designed for those that care for special needs' individuals.

Xtreme Adventure offers students a fun-filled, high-energy morning of worship and small group time, as they grow in relationship with one another, their leaders, and most importantly Jesus! Completed 4th thru 6th graders can attend Xtreme Adventure.

Four teams compete throughout the week to earn points through wild games, exciting competitions, fun memory verse challenges, and more! The week concludes with an event — Final Battle — where one team is named the "winner" of the week.

We highly encourage students to invite at least one friend to join them at Xtreme Adventure, as it's a great opportunity to learn about Jesus while having a great time!

SummerFest is a fun, free, community-wide event that marks the end of the week of Kids Clubs, Special Needs Family Camp, and Xtreme Adventure. SummerFest features booths, activities, food, music, and fun for the whole family.

No matter how long you’ve been a part of Hill Country, and regardless of your age and stage in life, you can play a part in the summer of a lifetime by getting involved. There's a place for everybody! Whether driving student leaders to the clubs they lead, welcoming your community at SummerFest, or opening your yard for children to hear the good news of Jesus, there's a part for you to play in this movement!

Volunteer Opportunities


Who: 18+
What: Opportunity for a few different roles including a Day Chaperone, Night Security, Snack Team, Traffic Team, or Nurse
When: June 21 - 26
Where: Concordia University
Why: Each of these roles is vital to helping our students have a great experience at Boot Camp and ensuring our student teams are prepared to go out to lead their clubs well! There are shepherding opportunities in each of these roles, as you have the chance to hear how clubs are going and pray over students and the kids they are impacting.


Who: 20+ (Must have a valid driver's license.)
What: Opportunity to drive the students to/from our Kids Clubs at Partner Churches. This role is crucial in engaging in conversation with the students, so they can share their experiences at the clubs and reflect on how God is using them.
When: June 22-25 (Monday thru Thursday)
Time Commitment: 6pm-9pm
Where: Driving from Concordia University to Summer Bible Clubs in surrounding Austin areas
Why: Each of these roles is vital to helping our students have a great experience at Boot Camp and ensuring our student teams are prepared to go out to lead their clubs well! There are shepherding opportunities in each of these roles, as you have the chance to hear how clubs are going and pray over students and the kids they are impacting.

Who: 18+
What: Opportunity for a few different roles including a Chaperone, Snacks Team, and Check-in Team, and Game Team.
When: July 6 - 9
Time Commitment: 8:30am-12:30pm
Where: Hill Country Bible Church
Why: Each of these roles is vital to helping our students have a great experience at XA! There are opportunities to connect and engage with students throughout the week in each of these roles, which provides a chance to develop a relationship with lasting impact.

Who: Adults 20 years or older with a vehicle to transport students
What: Drivers are responsible for getting teams of students to their clubs as we saturate greater Austin with the love of Jesus. They get the opportunity to encourage, support, and pray over the team of students. It is a great opportunity to work with our students, but also to get to BLESS other families as you arrive at the clubs.
Where: Drivers meet at one of our locations to meet their teams, then drive out to a club in the greater Austin area
When: Clubs take place from July 6-9 from 5:30-8:30 pm

Who: Hill Country adults host Kids Clubs by inviting kids (ideally Pre-K - 4th grade) and their families.
What: Kids will have fun and learn about Jesus. Teams of trained students lead these clubs each morning and evening, using games, skits, and songs to share the good news of Jesus Christ throughout our community.
Where: In your neighborhoods' public spaces and yards
When: Clubs take place from July 6-9 from 6:30-8pm
Please have one adult sign up to Host and all other adults (18 and over) in the household and helping host sign up to Co-Host.
Co-Host must know the Host's name before they sign up to co-host.

Who: Serve as an individual, with your small group, or with your family and friends. There are many ways to get involved including greeting guests, hosting games, helping with beverage tents, and setting up/cleaning up.
What: Create a fun-filled, welcoming festival environment at our Lakeline location, so that all our guests have a great time and experience the love of Jesus. Where:Hill Country Bible Church
